The Ecolodge
At present, the lodge is rustic and simple with basic facilities. We are transforming the lodge in a sensitive ecological manner in order to offer its guests an authentic and unique experience combining exceptional accommodation with exciting and educational native and cultural activities.
LODGE FACILITIES AT PRESENT
• 'Tambo' rustic open style bungalows in native wood with thatched palm roof, terrace, beds with mosquito nets, bathrooms with shower and toilet (not ensuite, short walk), cold water but fine at this season.
• Spring fed 'safe to drink' analysed water supply
• Large main building with bar, hammocks, dining room
• Terrace overlooking the river with fantastic views
• Boat with 25 HP engine with a capacity for 8 people.
LODGE FACILITIES AFTER REFURBISHMENT
• 'Tambo' style bungalows in authentic materials, with beautiful wood finish, terrace, hand made beds with mosquito nets, high quality linen sheets and towels, insect proof screens and en suite bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet
• Silent style generator to charge deep cycle batteries to give low
voltage electrical system
